Leesburg's Front Porch
Venetian Gardens is downtown Leesburg's lakefront park — canals, bridges, live oaks, event lawns — and its four-lane concrete ramp is the west shore's workhorse: free, open around the clock, with thirty-plus trailer spots and well over a hundred vehicle spaces, so parking is never the worry. The rebuilt waterfront shows the city's investment.
Weigh-In Water
Major tournaments stage weigh-ins here when they're not at Hickory Point — the ramp basin and park lawns are built for a crowd. Event weekends, launch early or launch elsewhere; the rest of the calendar, four lanes at 3 a.m. are all yours.
The West-Shore Bite
You're minutes from the main basin's western grass lines and the open-water crappie drifts that fill winter mornings here. The Dead River run to Eustis is a straight shot across the lake — this is the natural start for a full chain day from the Leesburg side.
Bring the Family Anyway
Even on non-boating days, the park earns the stop: playgrounds, waterfront paths, the canals that gave it the Venetian name. One person launches, everyone else wanders — the split works.
