Plan B — if this lot is full Sunset Landing is a mile north on the same US 27 shore; Crowder Road Landing is FWC's other named small-craft launch at current water levels. For real water under a full-size boat, Lake Talquin (a different lake, west of town) is the standing alternative.

As of July 2026 this ramp is Temporarily Closed — FWC's inventory note reads 'May 2026: Temporarily closed to treat invasive aquatic plants.' Dry-downs are when managers hit invasive vegetation on the exposed bed, so the closure fits the moment. No reopening date is posted; the county parks line is the quick check.
The Lake's Only Two-Laner
When it's open, Jackson View is the only double-lane ramp on Lake Jackson — a sand-surface launch with a portable toilet, a grill and picnic tables at 4967 N. Monroe St. right on US 27. Worth remembering for busy mornings once the water and the gates come back.
Conflicting Signals, One Answer
Leon County's park page shows no closure alert and FWC's forecast text still lists the Hwy 27 ramp as launchable — but the inventory snapshot refreshed July 27, 2026 says closed. When official sources disagree, plan around the closure and let a phone call surprise you pleasantly.
